Versova Beach

Versova Beach is among the popular beaches in Mumbai city. It is situated towards the north of Juhu Beach and considered as an extension of Juhu beach with a creek separating them from one to other.The entire Versova Beach gets submerged under water during high tide. Versova Beach is a favorite place for loving couples preferring to spend time with each other away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd of Mumbai city.

Juhu Beach

Juhu beach is located 18 kms north of Mumbai city. It is one of the Indian major beaches on the shores of Arabian Sea and is one the largest and frequently visited one. It is surrounded by the posh bungalows of the famous film personalities of Bollywood. It is one of the most crowded beaches in India. Vendors are found everwhere on the beach shouting for inviting attention for selling the goods mostly edibles.

Girgaum Chawpati

Girgaum beach is famous in Mumbai as Girgaum Chawpati which is adjoining to Malabar Hill, Girgaum, Gamdevi and Khetwadi at the northern end of Marine Drive. It has array of food stalls selling chats, ice-golas, bhel, kulfi etc. The Chowpatty sea face has both residential and commercial buildings. Though the beach remains empty throughout the day, it is crowded in the evening. The beach is in the heart of Mumbai and it is the witness of great historical events of freedom movement and struggle happened on the beach itself.

Nehru Science Centre

Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai is India's largest interactive science center. It is located in Worli. The idea of Nehru Centre was conceived in 1972, not as a mute memorial, but as living testament and monument of faith in Jawaharlal Nehru's (first prime minister of India) vision of man, his compassion for humanity, his concern for human beings and his undying passion to lift them to the greatest and highest purpose.
It was opened for public on 11 th November, 1985.
Nehru Science Centre, amongst the four National level Science Museums of National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) is working as the Western Zone Headquarters with five science centres in Nagpur, Calicut, Bhopal, Dharampur and Goa. It caters to the people in the Western part of India. As a part of its activities, the Centre organizes regular extensive science education programmes, activities and competitions for the benefit of the common people and students in particular.
Nehru Science Centre is visited by over 600,000 people every year.
It is spread over 14 acres of land on Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai - 400018 between Worli Naka and Mahalaxmi Railway Station.
The nearest railway stations are Mahalaxmi and Byculla Railway Stations. The BEST (external link to its website) buses for the Centre are 50, 80 (Ltd.), 91(Ltd.), 124, 154, 164, 165, 168, 172, 351 and alight at Jijamata Nagar.

Manori Beach

Manori is known for its beach. This beach is near the Portuguese- flavoured fishing village of Manori island which is dominated by the local fishing community (kolis). It is situated at the North of Mumbai about 15 minutes away from Madh Island. It is a famous weekend picnic spot for mumbaites.

The closest railway station is Malad. To reach Manori Beach, we have to take 10 minutes ferry ride from Marve Beach to Manori jetty and about 15 minutes by raod from the jetty.
