Mani Bhavan

Mani Bhavan is a simple two storeyed old style building on Laburnum Road, Mumbai. Gandhiji used to stay here, whenever he was in Mumbai between 1917 to 1934. It is now a museum and research centre. The Museum is open on all the days of the week from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Inside the museum is a library. It consists of books on Gandhi and written by Gandhi about his thoughts, freedom movements and allied subjects. The Library is open on all the weekdays from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm. and on Saturdays, 9.30 am to 2.00 pm except public holidays. Auditorium is on the first floor showing films on Gandhi. Gandhi's Room is on the second floor which has been preserved as far as possible in its original form. Adjoining Gandhiji's Room is the exhibition displaying Gandhiji's life
