On sundays and holidays, the beach becomes very crowded and noisy but on the other days, it is a silent, clean and beautiful. It is popular amongst youth as a weekend destination.
It is dotted with many private cottages and hotels some of which are rented out for tourists and visitors.
This beach has INS Hamla (Naval base of India Navy) at one end and a small beach called Dana Paani at the other.

This Beach is full of quick sliding sands. Every year there are at least dozen casualties. Visitors are requested to remain away even from the knee deep water which is sometime fatal if under water current and shifting sands start acting towards water direction. Be vigilant, if the small children are with you.

Pictures are very beautiful. Amongst the many well-known attractions, some of the most popular Mumbai tourist places include Hanging Gardens, Haji Ali Mosque and Chowpatty. Visiting each one of them will leave you with sheer joy. On Mumbai sightseeing, you can visit Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Kala Ghoda and Colaba Market. Take a walk on the pristine Aksa beach in Mumbai where you can find a variety of sea shells and snails.
