Mahim Creek (locally known as Bandra ki Khadi) is a creek in Mumbai. It is the only Creek balancing the water level of Mumbai during heavy rainfall in monsoon season. The Mithi river drains into the creek which drains into the Mahim Bay. It is almost 16 to 17 kilometers long. The creek forms the boundary between the city and suburbs. The creek is swamped by mangroves and has a mini-ecosystem within it.
It now has the Bandra-Kurla Complex with the corporate offices on both its sides.
The general people along side the bank of this river considers it as a drainage gutter for throwing garbage and untreated industrial effluents. The waters of the creek are foul smelling due to the dumping of untreated industrial effluents in its stream. One can witness the black polluted water and its stinging smell by travelling on train between Bandra and Mahim Junction.

The ever growing slums around it since the recent past have posed a danger to the mini ecosystem within the river being vital to the ecosystem of Mumbai.
